When driving a cargo van rental it is important to remember the different dimensions of the vehicle being driven. It is taller and longer than most average cars, for instance.
Cargo van rentals are taller than cars, be aware of the height of the vehicle. Therefore take note of clearance signs at bridges and overpasses.
Watch for drive-through canopies, low-hanging tree limbs, power and telephone lines.
Be carefull at intersections as cargo van rentals are longer and wider than cars and have a wider turning radius. This is very important to remember when driving your passenger van rental.
Cargo van rentals also have a higher center of gravity than cars and tip easier; therefore it is recommended to take turns slower.
It is a good idea to just avoid sharp turns and excessive speed.
Never follow other cars too close when diving in a cargo van rental.
Vans are heavier than cars and need more braking distance, especially when full of passengers.
Make sure to stay a minimum of 4 seconds from the other vehicle ahead.
